Link of the day: The Distribution Zoo
This is an online app that allows you to conveniently visualize different distributions and gives you the mean and variance as well. You can plot probability density functions (PDF), cumulative density functions (CDF) and look at the formulae. They even provide LaTeX-code and suggest use cases for the distribution.
